Miss Zendaya. Disney darling by day, activist, fashion designer, actress, Dolce &Gabbana rep, and singer by night. She's literally a quadruple threat and a young lady I've grown to love watching grow these past few years. She's black and white and has been very vocal in advocating for both cultures that make up her identities.
"Half black is just enough. It doesn't matter what color you are, it’s about how you portray the character.”
In June 2016 she addressed colorism while gracing the cover of Cosmopolitan magazine by advocating:
“I feel a responsibility to be a voice for the beautiful shades my people come in."
As she continues to grow in Hollywood for coveted roles like Mary Jane in the upcoming Spiderman: Homecoming she is also showcasing her ability to be diverse in her artistry with collaborations on albums like Prince Royce's recent bachata duet "X."
